Hello, Friend!
Everything we believe hinges on the Resurrection of Jesus.
Over and over Jesus told His disciples that He would die and come back to life again, but they had no capacity to understand what He was telling them. Even after Jesus’ death, they were wrought with grief and huddled together behind locked doors, fearful for their future.
Then, on the third day, the women came upon the empty tomb and the angel told them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?” (Luke 24:5)
Often, I find myself visiting the “grave” of something that has died; a hope or dream, a relationship that has ended poorly, or some other impossibility that presents itself as having the final word.
This is when I need to remind myself that Jesus can bring resurrection life into any area of my life. Death is not final, nor does it have the last word. Over the years, I have experienced Jesus’ resurrection power breathing life into many areas of my life. He resuscitated my marriage when we were struggling, has brought new hope to old dreams, and has the power to make things come back to life. He is the Resurrection and the Life! (John 11:25)
What is an area in your life that seems to be cold, life-less, and dead? This Holy Week, may you be encouraged as you trust Jesus, our Living Hope, to breathe life into dead situations, relationships, and dreams.
You are highly favored and deeply loved.
I’m praying for you!
XOXO,
